LEGO 40186 Year of the Pig official image

The latest Chinese New Year set, LEGO 40186 Year of the Pig, has been revealed in a new official LEGO image.

Each year, the LEGO Group releases a new set for the Lunar New Year. In 2018 it was 40235 Year of the Dog, and in 2019 it will be 40186 Year of the Pig. In the past, these sets were only available in countries in the China region, but recently they have been made available worldwide. Whether the new set will be distributed that way is as yet unknown.

This image has been released by Brickset, showing the cute new animal with its large ears and possibly printed snout piece. Cleverly put together, the pig is packed with personality and sits on a base that evokes the muddy environment that a pig would love. These Chinese New Year sets include a pouch that can be used to give them as a gift in.

Next year’s seasonal sets were recently revealed to be a new line of holiday themed BrickHeadz characters. A Christmas themed set, 40274 Mr & Mrs Claus, is available now from shop.LEGO.com.
