Will The Dark Knight get his due with fresh LEGO Batman deals for Black Friday 2021? Here’s everything we’re expecting to see from DC this year…

LEGO Batman Black Friday deals

LEGO Batman sets have been a cornerstone of the LEGO portfolio since 2006, with only a short absence from 2009 to 2011. And even while the theme has seemingly taken a backseat to Marvel in 2021 – perhaps as a result of delays to big-screen outings like Matt Reeves’ The Batman – there’s still plenty to get excited about for Black Friday.

That includes retiring sets like 76139 1989 Batmobile and new releases like 76239 Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown, which is the first black minifigure-scale Tumbler since 2008. Fans of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy will want to snap that one up pronto, and Black Friday could be the perfect opportunity to do so while taking advantage of this year’s deals and promos. Likewise, the chance to pick up 76240 Batmobile Tumbler with gifts-with-purchase (and potentially double VIP points) during Black Friday is nothing to sniff at.

LEGO DC Black Friday discounts

Batman isn’t the only superhero in the DC pantheon, even if he is front and centre in the vast majority of the LEGO Group’s DC sets. 76157 Wonder Woman vs Cheetah is a solid LEGO set that could also see a decent discount for Black Friday, given it’s apparently retiring by the end of 2021.

The biggest and arguably best LEGO Batmobile to date is reaching the end of its two-year shelf life, which means there’s not long left to grab 76139 1989 Batmobile. The LEGO Group has had trouble meeting demand for the set over the past few weeks, but it’s now firmly and consistently in stock at LEGO.com – which means it’s also ripe for a Black Friday discount to clear out the last few copies. Here’s hoping.

LEGO Batman Black Friday retiring sets

Eight different LEGO Batman sets are due to leave shelves in 2021, alongside one LEGO DC set, as the LEGO Group prepares to shake up its superhero portfolio ahead of 2022. 76139 1989 Batmobile is the headliner for sure, but you shouldn’t overlook 76159 Joker’s Trike Chase – its Harley Quinn and Robin minifigures are great, and its Batmobile is a surprisingly sturdy beast.

76157 Wonder Woman vs Cheetah is also making way this year, along with the newly-released 40453 Batman vs. The Penguin & Harley Quinn. Each and every one of those sets could potentially enjoy a discount across Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as the LEGO Group has slashed prices on retiring sets in previous years.
