LEGO Botanical Collection 10281 Bonsai Tree has sold out online

The entire LEGO Botanical Collection is now unavailable online, as 10281 Bonsai Tree has joined 10280 Flower Bouquet in the garden of sold-out sets.

That’s bad news if you were waiting until today to snag the 2-in-1 set on double VIP points, earning £4.50 in rewards vouchers instead of the usual £2.25. Your only hope now will be to head down to your local LEGO Store, should you have one nearby.

£2.25 in points probably isn’t a dealbreaker, though, so if you’re happy to hang on until it’s back in stock online, sign up for our email alerts and we’ll let you know when it’s ready to order. You can also do the same for 10280 Flower Bouquet, if (like most of us) you’ve missed each and every one of the very narrow windows of availability the other Botanical Collection set has enjoyed so far.

10281 Bonsai Tree’s departure from the official online store means it also leaves Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List – even if only temporarily – making way for 75810 The Upside Down. It may well be one of the Stranger Things set’s last hurrahs in our list of the very best LEGO sets available right now, because it’s currently scheduled to retire by the end of 2021.

Happily, picking it up today means you’ll earn a cool £18 in VIP points to spend on future purchases – but the double points promo finishes today, so don’t hang about if you’re after that or any other soon-to-be-retired sets.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
