LEGO Creator Expert 10267 Gingerbread House officially announced

This Christmas, fans are going to have a new festive model to build thanks to the release of LEGO Creator Expert 10267 Gingerbread House next week.

LEGO Creator Expert will return to the whimsical with this year’s Winter Village related release, as 10267 Gingerbread House is due to arrive at next week. Completely themed around treats that would delight anyone with a sweet tooth, the model is the home of Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Woman and Gingerbread Baby.

Using 1,477 pieces, the set builds an authentic looking gingerbread house featuring candy cane columns and glittery windows. A light bricks allows for a glowing fire – that hopefully won’t melt the chocolate bedspread.

Here is more from the official press release:

The LEGO Creator Expert Gingerbread House sets the scene for imaginative adventures with the Gingerbread family. Help them clear the snow away, put the Gingerbread Child into its carriage before placing the individually wrapped presents beneath the tree. The toy rocking horse and toy train are sure to keep the Gingerbread Baby happy on Christmas morning.

Enter the candy-pillared doorway and you’ll discover a charming interior with candy furnishings including a festively decorated bedroom and don’t forget to check out the yummy candy-cane signposts! This awesome model is home to a stocking-load of fun features that will bring a sparkle to your imagination.

10267 Gingerbread House  will be released on September 18 for those looking to add some LEGO whimsy to their Christmas decorations.

This is a good looking set, and I love some of the humerous touches within it (such as the Gingerbread man in the bath – presumably he bathes in milk?). Why though is the fire place on both the inside and outside of the building? If I buy this set, and I am going to seriously consider it, then I think I am going to have to modify it to only have an open fireplace on the inside.
