LEGO Games has a new logo amidst rumours of full theme
LEGO Games is undergoing a rebranding whilst rumours of a theme circulate but does a new logo mean anything for potential sets?
The official LEGO Games Facebook page has been updated with a new logo for the division, opting for a uniform look instead of the golden brick that was integrated into it before.
Whilst a new logo on its own might not be too interesting, listings for a LEGO Gaming theme have us wondering if this is the first sign of what is potentially to come. It should be stated that the LEGO Group has yet to confirm a LEGO Gaming theme of sets beyond the individual licenses for Overwatch, Super Mario and Minecraft, so treat any further information with caution just in case.
Polish retailer Miki features a listing for set 76980, which is labelled as being under a theme titled LEGO Gaming. Despite no such theme currently existing, it was the first evidence that such a project might be in the works behind the scenes.
Whilst unconfirmed, this updated logo could indicate that the title of this theme was either changed in translation or may tie into the new branding of the LEGO Games division.
There are quite a few games that we’d love to see the LEGO Group tackle in such a theme, but we’ll just have to wait and see if this change is a sign of things to come or just a fresh coat of paint in time for LEGO Star Wars Battles and LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more. Rumours suggest that LEGO Gaming could launch as soon as November, so we may not have long to wait.

With all the love for the game Portal and the fact Lego already have the moulds from Lego dimensions I think a proper set of test chambers etc is overdue and would fit this theme well. With some imaginative use of hidden side type functionality the portal aspect and distinct vocal sounds of turrets, Wheatley and GLADos could also be achieved.
