The LEGO Group clarifies availability of VIP discount codes
Following reports of discount codes for LEGO VIP members, the LEGO Group has got in touch with us to confirm who they’re actually targeted at.
LEGO fans who sign up to the LEGO VIP programme can reap a few benefits from multiple LEGO purchases. These include discounts on future LEGO.com orders, and early access to the LEGO Group’s high-end products. Recently, a few LEGO VIP members have been getting discount codes (via email) for use at the official LEGO site; spending over a certain threshold gives you an additional discount on your order, with a deadline of November 14 to use them.
However, not every LEGO VIP member got these codes – and now it seems they’re an attempt to lure back LEGO VIPs who haven’t made a purchase in a while. The LEGO Group’s VIP Team has sent us the following statement to clarify their strategy:
“We share offers and promotions with a wide range of LEGO fans. In this case we wanted to reach out to LEGO VIP members that hadn’t shopped with the LEGO Group in the last 18 months to let them know about the VIP offers and promotions.”
So, there you go: if you’ve signed up for the LEGO VIP programme, but you haven’t made a purchase at LEGO.com lately, you may have a fresh incentive in your inbox to make one now. Particularly with Christmas shopping to think about, and a number of LEGO sets retiring by the end of the year.
If you’re wondering what the LEGO VIP programme has to offer, make sure to look at our LEGO VIP programme guide for more details. If you’re already a VIP and haven’t received a VIP discount code, worry not; our LEGO Black Friday page has plenty of different deals to whet your appetite.
