LEGO Harry Potter 2024 set details listed online
A price comparison site has published the first details of next year’s LEGO Harry Potter sets, among which are the theme’s cheapest 18+ set yet.
All due for release in March 2024 – at least according to brickmerge.de – these seven sets range from €14.99 all the way up to €99.99, with piece counts that don’t always seem to line up in a logical way. The biggest set is 76428 with 896 pieces, but a retail price of just €74.99. By contrast, 76429 will apparently cost €99.99 – and will only include 561 pieces.
Price-per-piece isn’t everything, of course, as 76429 could easily include larger and heavier elements. But it’s telling that it’s also listed as an 18+ set, suggesting it will be primarily a display model catered towards adults – and those sets typically include smaller elements for more complex and detailed builds. Other slightly alarming price-per-piece ratios include 76432 (€29.99 for 172 pieces) and 76430 (€44.99 for 364 pieces).
At the other end of the spectrum, 76425 will apparently include 337 pieces and retail for just €19.99, so maybe it’s time to tear up the rulebook altogether. We won’t know whether any of these sets actually represent good value until we learn what they include, but for now it’s nice to see the LEGO Group returning to more affordable Wizarding World sets, with three different builds at €29.99 or less.

While brickmerge.de has proved reliable in the past, none of these details should be taken as gospel until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
I wonder if the 18+ set will be the rumored sorting hat??
