Full wave of LEGO Harry Potter DOTS 2023 sets officially revealed

All three LEGO Harry Potter DOTS sets are now listed on the official online store, with two new products accompanying the previously-revealed 41809 Hedwig Pencil Holder.

While that set – which debuted on the LEGO Builder app earlier today – doesn’t include any Harry Potter-specific pieces, both 41808 Hogwarts Accessories Pack and 41811 Hogwarts Desktop Kit include unique Wizarding World printed tiles, along with a new lighting bolt-shaped bag tag piece.

That will be music to the ears of LEGO Harry Potter fans looking to accessories their lives with the LEGO Group’s arts and crafts theme, which is rapidly approaching the end of its life cycle. The company has confirmed that the March wave of sets will be the range’s last, with its full portfolio due to retire by the end of 2023.

Between these three Wizarding World tie-in sets, though, LEGO DOTS at least looks to be going out on a high. The one caveat is that its printed Harry Potter tiles are apparently randomly distributed throughout the sets, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get all 16. It’s a practice we’ve seen in the Wizarding World theme once before, at least

41808 Hogwarts Accessories Pack

Price: £12.99 / $TBC / €14.99 Pieces: 234 Release date: March 1, 2023

41808 Hogwarts Accessories Pack includes a mix of classic DOTS products, such as a bracelet, bag tag and stitch-on patch, ready to be decorated with a range of colourful and printed tiles. The displayed Harry, Ron and Hermione character tiles look fab, though as this set only contains 10 tiles from a possible 16, you’re not guaranteed to find them in the box.

41809 Hedwig Pencil Holder

Price: £17.99 / $TBC / €19.99 Pieces: 518 Release date: March 1, 2023

As revealed earlier today, 41809 Hedwig Pencil Holder includes its eponymous owl-themed accessory and an envelope-shaped note holder. The product description doesn’t actually mention the note pictured on the box, decorated with Hogwarts Castle or school luggage artwork, so it looks like that’s just to demonstrate its application.

41811 Hogwarts Desktop Kit

Price: £39.99 / $TBC / €44.99 Pieces: 856 Release date: March 1, 2023

The biggest set in the LEGO Harry Potter DOTS range, 41811 Hogwarts Desktop Kit comes stacked with plenty of buildable accessories to litter your desk. There’s a Golden Snitch note holder, scarf-shaped tray, lockable secret box and a picture frame, along with an 8×8 adhesive patch and 10 more of a possible 16 decorated tiles.

All three LEGO Harry Potter DOTS sets will launch in the UK and Europe on March 1, 2023. They’re not up on LEGO.com in the US yet, but presumably they’ll arrive stateside at the same time.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
