Latest LEGO Ideas submission earns its spurs with 10K supporters

Blacksmith – Wild West is the latest LEGO Ideas submission to ride into town after receiving the thumbs-up from 10,000 supporters.

Alongside Classic Space, Castle and Pirates, Western has proven to be one of the most enduring LEGO themes over the years. While it has been a while since we’ve seen any sets based on that period in American history, a new LEGO Ideas submission is hoping to change all of that.

Blacksmith – Wild West is the brainchild of fan designer llucky and is the latest brick-built creation that’s managed to drum up 10,000 supporters. The model features a one-storey building that features a living area and workshop, with plenty of details packed into each section.

The LEGO Ideas submission has been constructed using a selection of brown, grey and tan elements, with the exterior including a wood store, a wagon for carrying supplies, water barrels, a cactus and more. Inside the living area, there a stove for heating and cooking, a table, a bed, a desk and other items.

Blacksmith – Wild West’s workshop is accessed via a sliding door in the living room and boasts a blast furnace, anvils, a grinding wheel and all the tools that the blacksmith uses when working. There’s also a handy area for shoeing horses and an opening to the exterior to bring the animals inside.

The latest LEGO Ideas submission also comes with five themed minifigures in the shape of a blacksmith, blacksmith’s wife, blacksmith’s helper, an elegant lady and a customer.

Blacksmith – Wild West joins 16 fan-designed models that have already made their way into the second LEGO Ideas review of 2024. We’ll find out how impressed the judging panel is with all of the builds below when the results of this stage in the process are revealed later this year.
