LEGO Jurassic World 76949 Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus Attack images spotted

Full images of the upcoming LEGO Jurassic World Dominion set – 76949 Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus Attack – have been found online.

After being spotted and purchased at physical retailers, 76949 Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus Attack has yet to receive an official reveal on the online LEGO store, though that hasn’t stopped high-quality images of the build appearing at Brick-X-treme.

Featuring two large dinosaurs and six minifigures, including two characters returning from Jurassic Park, 76949 Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus Attack looks to be the biggest set out of the upcoming wave and these early appearances might suggest that a reveal and its launch are coming soon, especially given the rest of the LEGO Jurassic World Dominion sets launch on April 17. This was also rumoured previously, though that has not been confirmed.

These high-quality images allow us to take the closest look yet at the minifigures, models and dinosaurs. Both are new species for the theme and mostly reuse elements from the Indoraptor and Indominous Rex, apart from a new spined body. This could be later reused for a Spinosaurus, though it might not to quite the right shape for that species.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
