LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower visual tour and gallery

Scale the entirety of LEGO Marvel’s latest superhero skyscraper with our visual tour of 76269 Avengers Tower, which takes a deep dive into everything you need to know about this year’s Black Friday release.

Revealed today, 76269 Avengers Tower comes in as the biggest LEGO Marvel set to date at 5,201 pieces. And at first glance, it’s pretty much everything you could have expected from an Avengers Tower with a seemingly unlimited budget, fulfilling years of fan requests in one fell swoop.

But how does 76269 Avengers Tower fare on closer inspection? We’ve sifted through all the initial details and images for a full tour of this colossal building…

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower build

The official images of 76269 Avengers Tower don’t give us a tonne of insight into the build process, but it looks like a fairly straightforward process – and one that may evoke memories of 76178 Daily Bugle, the previous LEGO superhero skyscraper. Think lots of windows, plenty of interior details, and a build that constantly demands plenty of headspace. Don’t put this thing together anywhere with height restrictions.

Do set aside plenty of time to assemble it, though: at 5,201 pieces, it blows past the previous biggest LEGO Marvel set 76210 Hulkbuster, which by comparison contains ‘only’ 4,049 elements. 76269 Avengers Tower is actually cheaper than that set by £45 / $50 / €50, too.

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower details

The Avengers Tower as seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is, like any skyscraper, not flush with architectural details. But the designers have still managed to recreate the major touchstones of the building – from the giant Avengers logo to the landing pad for the Quinjet – while ensuring there are enough fun details that it doesn’t get dull to look at.

Some of those are at ground level, while more are found inside. But the smartest design decision in 76269 Avengers Tower is the inclusion of a midi-scale Quinjet, Leviathan and Chitauri flyers to dress the otherwise uniform tower, which go a long way to injecting colour and variety into the finished model. Otherwise, this pulls off a similar trick to the Daily Bugle, acting as a backdrop for its very many minifigures.

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower size

Topping even 76178 Daily Bugle in height, 76269 Avengers Tower is the tallest LEGO skyscraper of all time. The towering set climbs to an incredible 90cm, but still manages to stick to a 32×32-stud baseplate – which must have required some serious structural testing to keep things stable – for maximum compatibility with other LEGO sets, both within and beyond Marvel. More on that later…

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower minifigures

76269 Avengers Tower includes a whopping 31 minifigures, which is the most of any LEGO Marvel set (and right up there with the most in any one LEGO set). Pretty much every major superhero from the Infinity Saga is present and correct, from Iron Man and Captain America (and Captain America again) to Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk and the rest. Loki and Ultron represent the supervillain contingent, while a handful of SHIELD Agents and Chitauri soldiers are included as cannon fodder.

The full list of characters includes Tony Stark, Iron Man MK7, Iron Man MK6, Captain America, Captain America (again), Thor, Black Widow, The Wasp, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Wanda Maximoff, Falcon, Vision, War Machine, Pepper Potts, Wong, Nick Fury, Dr. Cho, Hulk, Erik Selvig, Tony Stark SHIELD Agent, two generic SHIELD Agents, Alexander Pierce, four Chitauri soldiers, Loki and Ultron. The cherry on top is the first-ever minifigure of Marvel president Kevin Feige, who will likely remain exclusive to 76269 Avengers Tower forever.

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower references

Given 76269 Avengers Tower is the ultimate celebration of the Infinity Saga, it’s no surprise to see it packs in almost every memorable scene from the first couple of Avengers movies – whether they happened in the tower or not. Black Widow’s interrogation (or reverse interrogation) of Loki may have taken place aboard the Helicarrier, but here you can pretend it actually happened in the Avengers Tower.

Other references to specific moments in the saga that immediately jump out include Hulk smashing up Loki, Captain America fighting Captain America (‘that’s America’s ass’), Tony suiting up and Dr. Helen Cho building Ultron.

10326 Natural History Museum, 76178 Daily Bugle, 10278 Police Station, 76269 Avengers Tower and 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum. 76218 image: Brick Architect

Like last year’s 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, 76269 Avengers Tower follows the tried and tested modular building template that now spans multiple themes. That means it’s constructed on top of a standard 32×32 baseplate, and will connect to not only the Sanctum and 2021’s 76178 Daily Bugle, but also the full Modular Buildings Collection (103112 Jazz Club, 10326 Natural History Museum et al), the NINJAGO modular buildings (71741 NINJAGO City Gardens, 71799 NINJAGO City Markets) and even 80107 Spring Lantern Festival.

It’ll tower over the lot of them, but so does the building in the movies, to be fair.

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower launches November 24, 2023 for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. Buy yours during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend to receive a free LEGO Marvel taxi gift-with-purchase, while stocks last.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
