LEGO reveals first look at new Boston Americas head office

The LEGO Group has revealed a first look at their new America headquarters as they relocate from Connecticut over the next couple of years.

1001 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts is soon to be the new home of the LEGO Group in America following the previous announcement that the company’s head office would be relocated from Connecticut by 2026, much to the disappointment of the governor

Renders of the new office, which takes up more than 100,000 square feet across five floors, have been revealed as well as an explanation as to why this spot was chosen for the headquarters.

“We’re incredibly excited to be moving to a new location with such a rich history, ideally located in Back Bay, between Boston and Cambridge,” says Skip Kodak, President of the LEGO Group in the Americas.

“1001 Boylston Street represents an investment in our future and a commitment to our employees. We believe that a modern, collaborative work environment will help creativity and innovation thrive, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish in this new space.

“This move aligns with our long-term growth strategy and underscores our commitment to remaining at the forefront of innovation.?Boston is one of the United States’ most livable cities, with?world-class arts and leisure activities, education and research partners, and?a thriving business community. Our move to 1001 Boylston Street ensures that?we can continue our mission to bring LEGO play to even more children in the US and the Americas region.”

A video of the area with more renderings has been released too, including an example of public transportation options nearby.

A factory is currently under construction in Richmond with an on-site 35-40 MW solar plant and it’s expected to be open in 2025.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
