LEGO Star Wars 20th anniversary build starts today in Australia

Fans down under can celebrate 20 years of LEGO Star Wars on May Fourth weekend with a huge build event.

Westfield Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia is hosting a special May the Fourth LEGO Star Wars event today and tomorrow, celebrating 20 years of the theme. The largest LEGO unboxing will see a giant LEGO Star Wars box opened, before families get stuck into helping to build the content. The final piece of the model will be laid on May 5 at 2.00pm.

LEGO Star Wars Creative Director Jens Kronvold Frederikson and LEGO Certified Professional Builder Ryan McNaught will lead the activity. The 501st Legion will be on hand to bring authentically costumed Star Wars characters to the event.

A make and take mini model will be available and prizes will be given away throughout the weekend. One prize that will be on offer during the weekend will be the much desired 75192 Millennium Falcon.
