LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary midi-scale sets visual tour and gallery

LEGO Star Wars is celebrating 25 years of sets, movies, games and more with new sets including three midi-scale ships full of miniature details.

As well as 75379 R2-D2 and 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV and their exclusive 25th-anniversary minifigures, three new midi-scale models are launching to commemorate 25 years of the legendary LEGO theme. These models offer affordable and displayable builds of iconic ships from the original and prequel trilogies.

They launch on March 1 with pre-orders opening soon, but you don’t have to wait to take a closer look at these upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets as our latest visual focuses on the finer details of these models.

LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary midi-scale sets details

Much like 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer, midi-scale LEGO Star Wars sets use small elements to capture major details, including a transparent green rounded plate for the bridge, an ice skate for a signature pointed bow and sloped grill elements for the ideal angles.

The use of mostly small elements helps keep the sets’ size and price low too, making them more easily collected and displayed without an abundance of budget or space.

LEGO Star Wars 75375 Millennium Falcon

75375 Millennium Falcon can be displayed at an angle on its included stand. The model’s part usage includes a transparent tube for the glowing engines, a printed cockpit and binoculars for the turret.

This set bears a striking similarity to the 15-year-old 7778 Midi-scale Millennium Falcon, and it appears to be the same size. That set didn’t come with a display stand though, which plays to the strengths of 75375 Millennium Falcon and its finer details.

LEGO Star Wars 75376 Tantive IV

75376 Tantive IV is the latest depiction of the first ship to appear on-screen in Star Wars history. It also happens to be one of the most affordable recreations of the Tantive IV to date.

Despite its price of £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 and its size, it doesn’t skip out on the details and its suspended position on the display stand means that the designers can include the bottom turret and other details on areas of the ship that might not be as accessible on other Tantive IV sets on display.

LEGO Star Wars 75377 Invisible Hand

Featuring in Revenge of the Sith and via other ships of the same model in The Clone Wars, 75377 The Invisible Hand is the smallest of the new midi-scale models yet doesn’t lack in detail.

Its sleek and unique shape has been captured using all kinds of elements in the new LEGO Star Wars set and it’s one of the few separatist ship models we’ve seen in LEGO Star Wars, and one that we’re unlikely to see again. Some of the best details include an ice skate and transparent pieces scattered throughout the model for an imposing look.

LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary printed piece

All three midi-scale LEGO Star Wars ships releasing on March 1, 2024, include a unique printed piece celebrating the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, featuring R2-D2 projecting a brick. This is undoubtedly a collectable item and carries on a tradition of the last midi-scale model – 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer and its printed piece for the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi.

LEGO Star Wars 75375 Millennium Falcon, 75376 Tantive IV and 75377 Invisible Hand will be available alongside 75379 R2-D2 and 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV on March 1, 2024.
