LEGO Star Wars summer 2024 Captain Rex minifigure isn’t alone

One of this summer’s LEGO Star Wars sets is re-releasing a hard-to-find minifigure exclusive to a massive model, and it’s not alone this summer.

We’ve already touched on how 75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter includes the same minifigure as that of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. The small set is offering the detailed LEGO Star Wars minifigure in an £11.99 / $12.99 / €12.99 package instead of keeping it exclusive to one priced at £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99.

Looking closely at the summer 2024 slate, this situation isn’t uncommon in the upcoming LEGO sets as LEGO Marvel has its own 75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter releasing in August.

It’s not quite the same as what 75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter is to 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, but November 2024’s 76269 Avengers Tower includes a new kind of Hulk figure with a turning head and a more accurate model of a Leviathan. These are a small part of the set’s many exclusive features, most of which remain entirely exclusive.

When it arrives on August 1, 76290 The Avengers vs. The Leviathan will debut both a Leviathan and the new Hulk figure outside of 76269 Avengers Tower, though admittedly with a different head print. It’s interesting to see that it’s the second summer 2024 set to make a huge LEGO model released in late 2023 a bit less exclusive.

It’s similar though not the same as what is happening to 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser thanks to 75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter, but it keeps plenty of other minifigures exclusive to the huge Avengers Tower recreation. It’s also worth noting that the new Hulk figure is included, with a different body print, in 76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron.

As noted in our previous report, this may be a good thing for LEGO enthusiasts and there are still at least a couple of reasons to consider picking up the larger Marvel and LEGO Star Wars sets, especially for 76269 Avengers Tower
