Next LEGO Star Wars magazine includes rare Mandalorian minifigure

The next issue of the monthly LEGO Star Wars magazine includes a rare Mandalorian minifigure, which has so far only appeared in a single set.

Issue 85 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine – which includes a Darth Maul minifigure, as seen in 75310 Duel on Mandalore – is already on shelves in Germany, and Promobricks has now revealed the foil-bagged freebie we can expect to find attached to the front cover of Issue 86.

When it lands on shelves in the UK in August, the next issue of the LEGO Star Wars magazine will include a Mandalorian Loyalist minifigure, which is currently exclusive to last year’s 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter. It commands a respectable price on the aftermarket as a result, averaging out at £13 new and £14 used (mysteriously).

The official LEGO Star Wars mag comes in at £4.75, and so will offer a much cheaper (and easier) way to get your hands on the Mando minifigure. And given it’s a relatively generic character, it might be worth stocking up on multiples even if you do already own 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter.

You’ll be able to do so from next month, while Issue 85 – and its free Darth Maul minifigure – should be available in supermarkets, newsagents and all good retailers within the next couple of weeks in the UK. I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
