London Science Museum to host LEGO Star Wars: Build the Galaxy event

If you’re in the capital next weekend, you might want to head down to the London Science Museum for an event of galactic proportions.

That’s if you can get in, because the LEGO Star Wars: Build the Galaxy event is strictly ticketed – and the only way you can gain entry is through a random prize draw. If you want to try your luck, head over to the ballot page and enter before midnight on Monday October 29. You can choose a morning or afternoon time slot, and you’ll be notified by midnight on October 31 if you’ve been successful.

The event will include building sessions, photo opportunities with LEGO Star Wars characters, a building wall and a goody bag. The build session, which involves creating LEGO scenes on famous Star Wars planets, will last around 20 minutes, with the entire experience lasting around 55 minutes. I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
