New rumoured release date for first LEGO Harry Potter 2022 sets
Rumours suggest that the first wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets arriving in 2022 may no longer be launching in January.
Promobricks originally reported that four new Wizarding World sets – including two more Hogwarts Moments classrooms, a new addition to the 2021 modular Hogwarts, and a buildable trunk – would be landing on shelves in the new year, but the LEGO fan site’s latest Instagram story now claims they’re actually arriving in March.
It means that while images of new sets in other themes – such as Marvel and Star Wars – have debuted online this week, we’ll likely have to wait a while longer to see a first official glimpse of these rumoured sets (should they exist at all).
There’s no word yet on whether the two also-rumoured exclusive LEGO Harry Potter sets, which could take the form of minifigure accessory packs, are expected to launch alongside those other four sets in March, or arrive earlier or later in the year.
For the moment, then, there’s still a real air of mystery around what the Wizarding World theme will bring to the table in 2022. Click here for a reminder of everything said to be included in those first four rumoured sets.
