New survey’s concept LEGO merchandise should look familiar

A new LEGO survey asking for opinions on a new line of licensed merchandise has one concept of which its design and features may look familiar.

The LEGO Group invited enthusiasts to take part in a new survey earlier today to see what they thought and how much they would pay for a range of licensed merchandise including cups, upscaled elements, a vase and more. These all depict concepts and the final products, provided anything comes of this, may have changed significantly.

Two of these concepts are enlarged minifigures including one that can be customised with a marker pen. That should sound familiar as it’s already available now.

853967 Wooden Minifigure is out now and you can read our review of the unique LEGO decoration by clicking here. The LEGO Originals item offers a 5:1 scale minifigure made of wood with yellow plastic hands and a handful of pieces to make a custom accessory.

The product page and a limited-edition version of 853967 Wooden Minifigure details that the decoration can be customised to your liking using paint, marker pens, pieces and more depending on how artistic you want to be.

It’s important to note that these were only concepts made for the survey and it could be that whatever comes of it is far different from 853967 Wooden Minifigure. For instance, a new take on the massive minifigure could be plastic to wipe away any markings as a more reusable decoration.

Either way, some of the LEGO Group may have saved themselves from some of the process with this concept product. You can have your say in the survey by clicking here, but keep in mind that it is aimed at those in the UK and the US. It will be open until March 4

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
