Second LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons teaser lands online

The second teaser for the upcoming LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set has surfaced online, seemingly teasing another monster for the model.

A new teaser for the LEGO D&D set featuring an unassuming chest has just been shared on social media. This is the second such teaser for the model based on BoltBuilds’ winning design that is rumoured to be coming next month. The rumour has yet to be confirmed but these teasers suggest that the reveal is close at least.

The brick-built chest transforms upon being hit with a non-LEGO die, revealing itself as a four-eyed Mimic. These monsters are shapechangers and take on the form of regular objects to trick adventurers into getting close enough for an attack. You might remember seeing a chest Mimic from the Dungeons & Dragons movie in 2023.

Their most iconic form is as a chest and unlike the Gelatinous Cube featured in the first teaser video, this monster is entirely brick-built. It’s not minifigure-scale either as was the case with BoltBuilds’ proposed design, though that did not include a visible Mimic.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
