Six retiring LEGO Star Wars sets to buy for May the 4th
LEGO Star Wars’ biggest event of the year is underway and while some deals have sold out already, it’s a good time to grab some retiring sets.
While the likes of 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama and 75382 TIE Interceptor may be exciting, don’t let the latest LEGO Star Wars sets overshadow some of the retiring models, several of which have discounts available to LEGO Insiders.
Multiple gifts-with-purchase are still available until May 5 on the official online store. Here are six retiring LEGO Star Wars sets you can pick them up with while ensuring that you don’t miss out on some must-have models and minifigures.
75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter
Price: £94.99 / $109.99 / €104.99 Pieces: 1,056
75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter is based on Star Wars: Ahsoka and is the only set to include the series’ antagonistic trio of Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati and Morgan Elsbeth. The builds are appealing too including a familiar model for LEGO Star Wars – an E-Wing much like Jek-14’s ship.
75357 Ghost & Phantom II
Price: £149.99 / $159.99 / €169.99 Pieces: 1,394
75357 Ghost & Phantom II is the largest of the LEGO Star Wars: Ahsoka sets and arguably the most exciting thanks to its depiction of a recognisable ship from the Star Wars Rebels animated series as well as its selection of entirely exclusive minifigures. Despite all that, it retires later this year.
75290 Mos Eisley Cantina
Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,187
LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series and minifigure enthusiasts shouldn’t miss out on 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina as this set features all manner of exclusive characters, vehicles and a location that is rarely depicted in LEGO Star Wars and never at this scale.
75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship
Price: £129.99 / $139.99 / €149.99 Pieces: 1,083
75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship is good for minifigure enthusiasts too with its assortment of characters including Commander Fox, Chancellor Palpatine and Padmé Amidala. The model is the latest take on the gunship but in a brand new colour scheme for the theme for a striking appearance.
75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base
Price: £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99 Pieces: 1,066
The first LEGO Star Wars Yavin 4 base set is retiring this year and whether you have been waiting for such a model or want to collect its many exclusive minifigures, you can pick it up now on the official online store and qualify for all May the 4th gifts-with-purchase.
75304 Darth Vader Helmet
Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 834
75304 Darth Vader Helmet recreates the visage of arguably the most iconic character in the Star Wars franchise and this detailed depiction of Darth Vader’s helmet is retiring later this year. Its size makes it an interesting display piece that won’t take up too much space.
