11 Star Wars Celebration reveals that LEGO fans need to know about

Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 is officially over with various announcements to excite Star Wars and LEGO fans alike, from films to sets.

After a few days of interesting reveals and updates for a galaxy far, far away, the annual Star Wars event has come to a close, leaving us with just a couple of weeks until May the 4th.

While we wait for Star Wars Day, here’s every major announcement from Star Wars Celebration 2025, and how it might relate to the future of LEGO Star Wars.

11 – A new Star Wars Visions series

The third volume of the anthology series Star Wars Visions is releasing on October 29, 2025. While we wait, a full series based on one of the anthology series has been confirmed.

Almost every Star Wars series has received a LEGO set of some kind, and with the LEGO Group dipping their toes into animation with One Piece, it will be worthwhile for fans to keep an eye on The Ninth Jedi.

10 – Fortnite Galactic Battle, with Darth Jar Jar

Fortnite’s next season of Battle Royale is all about Star Wars next month. While we wait to see what LEGO Styles come from this exciting collaboration, a certain Sith Gungan has made a surprise cameo after first officially appearing in a LEGO project.

For LEGO fans, this seems to be the first time that a LEGO minifigure design has been adapted into a Fortnite outfit instead of the other way around. It’s not a direct sign of anything, but it sets an interesting precedent.

9 – LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is back

Following the first outlandish series last year, a second instalment of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is on the way on September 19, featuring the likes of BrickHeadz Ahsoka, Jaxxon and the giant Chewbacca sculpture as characters.

The first season of Rebuild the Galaxy received three tie-in sets, but none have been confirmed for the second instalment at the time of writing. With any luck, that Jaxxon minifigure with the reused Bugs Bunny head, at least, is in our future.

8 – Star Wars Zero Company

Star Wars Zero Company was announced during Star Wars Celebration with the first trailer. The tactics game is similar to XCOM and will take place during The Clone Wars with an elite team of operatives that would make for some great minifigures.

Few LEGO Star Wars games have had any kind of representation in LEGO Star Wars, but just in case this ends up becoming a franchise, LEGO fans will want to keep one eye on Star Wars Zero Company.

7 – Ahsoka Season 2 to feature returning characters

A few notable returning characters have been confirmed for Ahsoka Season 2, including Admiral Ackbar and Anakin Skywalker.

The latter recently received a new minifigure in 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor, and this is another excuse for you to catch up on that set and its exclusive minifigures.

6 – A new LEGO K-2SO

Alongside the second season of Rebuild the Galaxy, the biggest news for LEGO fans from Star Wars Celebration was undoubtedly the reveal of 75434 K-2SO.

The 845-piece buildable droid sculpture launches on August 1, and pre-orders are open now for £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99. A life-sized LEGO K-2SO model was also revealed at Star Wars Celebration.

5 – Ryan Gosling to star in Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter

Star Wars: Starfighter was confirmed as the title of Shawn Levy’s film in a galaxy far, far away and is slated to release on May 31, 2027. Ryan Gosling will star in the movie.

Further details are light right now, but with a title like that, we can expect starfighters to play a huge part in the film. Add to that the potential for a Ryan Gosling minifigure, and it’s a tempting opportunity for the LEGO Group in 2027.

4 – A Darth Maul animated series

Sam Witwer will be back as Darth Maul in a new animated series exploring the character’s journey between The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels.

From surviving in an Empire-filled galaxy to training a new apprentice, it’s looking to be a Sith-centric series, but not one that has a chance at inspiring a full wave of LEGO Star Wars sets.

3 – Young Jedi Adventures Season 3

Young Jedi Adventures has two tie-in sets so far, and with a third season now confirmed, the High Republic animated children’s series will certainly be worth at least passively watching in case the LEGO Group feels the need for a third Young Jedi Adventures model.

2 – The Mandalorian & Grogu updates

The Mandalorian & Grogu received a few updates on the first day of Star Wars Celebration. From Zeb returning to a teaser with AT-ATs, a surprisingly buff (presumably) Rotta the Hutt and Grogu swimming, we’re still waiting on a public trailer for this May 2026 movie, as any early footage was shown only to attendees.

Star Wars movies have always been a good source of tie-in LEGO sets. With The Mandalorian’s popularity in LEGO Star Wars, this film is all but certain to receive a few models next year. Hopefully, a public trailer isn’t far behind to show us what’s most likely to get a build from the movie.

1 – Star Wars Celebration heads back to the US for the 50th anniversary

There will be no Star Wars Celebration in 2026 as the next version of the event will be held from April 1 to 4, 2027, celebrating the 50th anniversary of A New Hope at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California.

For LEGO fans, this is sure to be a source of some exciting LEGO and LEGO-related announcements, but we’ll be waiting just under two years to see what’s in store for the 50th anniversary.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
