Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 40th anniversary logo revealed

Each time a Star Wars film celebrates a milestone, a special logo is created – and now The Empire Strikes Back 40th anniversary logo has been revealed.

At the recent Star Wars Celebration Chicago event, Hasbro unveiled the San Diego Comic Con 2019 exclusive action figure – 6″ Boba Fett Kenner Deco. On the packaging for the new action figure, Jedi News spotted the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 40th anniversary logo.

Typically, these logos appear on all associated products during an anniversary year. It seems that the celebrations are kicking off early, as The Empire Strikes Back does not actually turn 40 until next year, 2020. It is not yet known if the LEGO Group will have special commemorative products for the occasion, but it is likely that any sets based on the film will have this additional logo on the packaging.

For LEGO fans, the key anniversary at the moment is 20 years of LEGO Star Wars, which will continue to be celebrated with special offers from May 3 until May 6 as part of the annual May the Fourth marketing blitz. The newest LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set, 75244 Tantive IV, will launch on May 3.
