The LEGO Batman Movie Giant Series magazine #1 out now

A new magazine, The LEGO Batman Movie Giant Series #1, has been spotted on store shelves.

As publishers are seemingly determined to saturate the market with magazines that barely survive the attached LEGO set being ripped from the cover, another new title has arrived on shelves. The LEGO Batman Movie #1 is one of the new Giant Series magazine, which means it comes with a polybag rather than a foil bagged set.

This edition comes with The LEGO Batman Movie 30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone polybag, which is not bad value as the cover price is £4.99. Despite its title, the polybag contains one of Superman’s security robots alongside the Batman minifigure.

Inside the pages of the magazine is the usual mix of comic book stories, puzzles and images. Interestingly, the comic story has been tied into the polybag.  It is odd to see a new magazine based on The LEGO Batman Movie as it is not particularly topical anymore. No “next issue” is listed, so whether there will be an Issue 2 is anyone’s guess at the moment.
