The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is in cinemas from today

After months of hype and anticipation, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is now in cinema screens around the world.

All of those sets will finally make sense – well, have context – with the release of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part in cinemas today. Fans in the UK, USA and many other countries can now enjoy the latest cinematic adventure from Warner Bros., the LEGO Group and Animal Logic.

Following the events of Taco Tuesday, things have got heckish for Emmet and his friends – with Bricksburg destroyed by alien invaders, the displaced minifigures have built a new society called Apocalypseburg. When a strange spacecraft arrives from the Systar System and kidnaps Lucy, Batman, Unikitty, Benny and MetalBeard, it is up to Emmet to head into the unknown to rescue his friends.

This sequel to The LEGO Movie (2014) is directed by Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Trisha Gum from a screenplay by producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Returning cast members include Chris Pratt as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Lucy and Will Arnett as Batman. Joining the cast are Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa’Nabo and Stephanie Beatriz as General Mayhem.
