Two classic Disney characters rumoured for huge LEGO 43222 Disney Castle

The rumoured new 4,800-piece LEGO 43222 Disney Castle is said to come with a ‘variety of princes and princesses’ – including two we’ve never seen before as minifigures.

Reportedly coming in at $399.99 for 4,837 pieces, the follow-up to the recently-retired 71040 The Disney Castle will apparently be packed with classic Disney prince and princess minifigures. And while the rumour mill has yet to suggest a definitive list of included characters, we now have the first word on at least two of the minifigures supposedly in the box.

According to Instagram user 1414falconfan (via redditor FluffySky6), 43222 Disney Castle will include Cinderella and Prince Charming minifigures. Those are both characters who have thus far only appeared as mini-dolls, most recently in last year’s 43206 Cinderella and Prince Charming’s Castle, so this would mark their debut as standard minifigures.

They both seem like obvious candidates for any laundry list of Disney princes and princesses, especially in a set with the price tag of 43222 Disney Castle, so no prizes for guessing they might be included here. Potentially more interesting will be any of the more obscure characters that could join them, but after years of LEGO Disney sets (and three Disney Collectible Minifigures series) plenty of fans should be happy to finally see Cinderella and Prince Charming as minifigures.

That’s if this set – and those minifigures – exist at all. For now, they’re just rumours, so approach them with a degree of scepticism as always. But with a potential release date of July 2023, we’ll hopefully learn more about 43222 Disney Castle pretty soon…
