UK retailer starts fulfilling LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga orders
A UK video game retailer has started fulfilling orders for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, months ahead of the title’s spring 2022 release date.
According to Brick Fanatics reader Nick, and multiple users on reddit, GAME has begun charging fans who’ve pre-ordered the saga-spanning sequel. That normally wouldn’t happen until the game ships out – and indeed, the same customers have also received emails stating their game is being packed, ready for delivery.
Last we heard, Warner Bros. and TT Games’ long-delayed LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is launching sometime around spring 2022, which is still a little ways off. Unless that date has been suddenly and unexpectedly brought forward – or GAME’s delivery service is fulfilling orders from, erm, Mars – this is probably just a huge mistake on the retailer’s part.
If you fall into the camp of fans charged seemingly ahead of schedule for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, your best bet is likely to contact GAME’s customer service department to figure out what the deal is. And if you do somehow find yourself playing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in a few days’ time, drop us a line, yeah?

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

It’s a mistake, they’ve already sent a follow up email saying so.
They’ve admitted it was a mistake, are proceeding refunds (although I don’t have one yet} and are requesting we re-order as they have to cancel the original orders.
However, it’s going to cost more as originally shipping was free and now it’s a fiver. It’s not on. I’ve re-ordered to secure mine as I want my Blue Milk Luke and steelbook but will cancel if I have to because this extra fiver is no way to do business! Bad enough that they take your money without warning for something that is months away, but to punish us by making us pay extra is a joke. I don’t know why Game get so many exclusive editions; they are terrible. Not the first time something like this has happened either, for example they messed up my Destiny 2 order and I lost out on a Hunter figure. Inept.
Turns out it was a technical error and a refund will be given. However, Game are cancelling these orders and we have to reorder the preorder. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I can’t reorder it as the particular version I had ordered is no longer in stock.
This happened to me. I have now received an email stating this was an error with their system and my pre order will be cancelled to refund me. I went to pre order again and am now being charged £4.99 extra for postage due to them stopping free delivery since I ordered! Disgraceful!
