Legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima is a big LEGO fan

He may be one of the biggest video game creators in the business, but it turns out the legendary Hideo Kojima is also a huge LEGO fan.

The creator of such massive video games as the Metal Gear series, Policenauts and Death Stranding has revealed how much art and LEGO sets mean to him. Hideo Kojima recently took to his Twitter account to showcase his latest purchase, LEGO Ideas 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night.

Accompanying the images of the superstar creator and his LEGO set, Kojima states, ‘I bought it because I love Van Gogh and I love LEGO.’ In the replies below the tweet, the official LEGO Twitter account posted, ‘A legend building a legend!’

This isn’t the first time that Kojima has professed just how much of a LEGO fan he is. The creator also recently praised Matt Reeves’ The Batman, highlighting Robert Pattinson’s performance in particular. However, Kojima also revealed that his favourite Batman movie is in fact The LEGO Batman Movie, a surprising choice to say the least.

Whilst there currently are no LEGO sets based around any of Kojima’s video game titles or characters, Sony has reportedly announced plans for a Netflix series based on the Horizon, Gran Turismo and God of War franchises.

LEGO Ideas 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night is available to purchase now, with 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck continuing to sell out on the official online store.
