Video review: LEGO Creator Expert 10290 Pickup Truck

Take a ride back to a simpler age with LEGO Creator Expert 10290 Pickup Truck in our latest video review.

One of two super-sized vehicles to join the Creator Expert range last year – alongside 10295 Porsche 911 – and the theme’s first not based on a specific real-world vehicle, 10290 Pickup Truck represents a real curio in the LEGO portfolio. But is it worth checking out for more than just novelty reasons, especially among an otherwise packed line-up of cars and bikes?

That’s the question we’ve answered in our latest review of the 1,677-piece set, which you can check out by hitting play on the video below or heading over to our YouTube channel.

If you’ve been deliberating over adding 10290 Pickup Truck to your collection, or just waiting for the right time to dive in, your patience has paid off: at least in the UK, where the LEGO Group has bumped the set’s RRP down from £119.99 to £114.99 since it launched.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
