What is the LEGO Despicable Me 4 QR code for?
There’s an odd function in one of the LEGO Despicable Me 4 sets that embraces the digital landscape in a new way, and it’s working now.
Four new LEGO Despicable Me 4 sets have been officially revealed and they’re available right now in the UK and Europe. This includes 75581 Minions’ Music Party Bus and may have noticed something odd about the model.
Included on both the box and in the set is an odd accessory featuring a stickered QR code. Thankfully, the LEGO Group was prepared for the official reveal of the sets earlier today and the link is currently functioning.
This QR code links to the following video, but on the LEGO Insiders club on LEGO.com. It’s a stop-motion animation about the bus featuring some familiar minifigure faces made by sillypenta.
It may be that the LEGO set is not based on the movie but is intended to tie into this short, or it could be that the short is based on the movie as is the set. Whatever the case, we’ll know for sure when Despicable Me 4 releases this summer on July 3, 2024.
All four LEGO Despicable Me 4 sets are available now in the UK and Europe and launch elsewhere on May 1, 2024.
