The LEGO Batman Movie to get McDonald’s promotion
It looks like The LEGO Batman Movie will be getting a McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion, indicated by an image taken from the current US Happy Meal box. Allan at the Brick Fan has shared this news, meaning that the promotion looks to be happening in the USA, with worldwide participation awaiting confirmation.
In 2014 The LEGO Movie had eight cups and collector cards available to collect with McDonald’s Happy Meals, it is many years since any actual LEGO bricks have been included.
The LEGO Batman Movie seeks to include meta references to past Batman films, such as casting Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face. So in that spirit, it is interesting to point out that upcoming movie The Founder tells the story of how Ray Kroc took control of McDonald’s and turned it into a fast food empire. Kroc is played by Michael Keaton in the movie, who of course portrayed Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 movie.
The LEGO Batman Movie is released on February 10, with plenty of LEGO sets currently available to whet fans’ appetites.
