Win one of two LEGO Star Wars platinum R2-D2 minifigures
The LEGO Group has launched a competition to win one of just two bespoke R2-D2 minifigures cast in platinum.
An extremely rare prize will go to just two winners of a prize draw, with each getting one of the super limited platinum R2-D2 minifigures. Rebelscum directs us towards the contest page, where fans can enter their e-mail address and date of birth to be in with a chance of owning one of these elusive minifigures.
The unique reward is reminiscent of the bronze C-3PO minifigures given away as prizes in 2007, with this platinum R2-D2 looking to be incredibly finely etched from the photo provided. The figure has been valued at £2,500.
Entries are accepted until January 1, 2018 at 12:01 am US Eastern time. The winners will be notified by January 19, 2018. Because of just how few prizes there are in this contest, the terms and conditions emphasise how unlikely it is that entrants will win:
MANY WILL ENTER; ONLY TWO WILL WIN A PRIZE.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 14 in the UK and December 15 in the USA. The LEGO sets based on the upcoming movie are available now.
