12 LEGO Pick a Brick elements you should pick up while you can
Thanks to the latest updates, there are plenty of new LEGO parts available to buy on LEGO Pick a Brick – including a few to pick up sooner rather than later.
Whenever new LEGO pieces are uploaded to the Pick a Brick service, there are usually some that are available to buy, some that aren’t, and some that are quick to sell out in the blink of an eye. The latest update has brought in a wealth of new pieces, ranging from some big-fig Hulk hands to some tempting new home and minifigure accessories.
Here’s a look at some LEGO Pick a Brick parts that we’d be picking up sooner, now that they’re online and available to buy.
Cockpit with shaft
Part number: 6507911 Design number: 35173 Price: £0.62
Whether you’re building a spaceship, a quirky house, or a high-flying vehicle of your own concoction, this cockpit lid, complete with a hinge, is perfect for an alterative form of door. It’s transparent, meaning you can still see the interior or minifigures inside, ideal for moving between play and display.
Bottle
Part number: 6507876 Design number: 28662 Price: £0.18
This part might be called a bottle but LEGO designers have been seen to use it for both a bottle and a glass, making it a versatile little drinking vessel. Add a colour stud to either end to create the illusion of a drop of liquid inside.
Giant Hand – Right/Left
Part number: 6459214 / 6459215 Design number: 10126 / 10127 Price: £1.43 / £1.43
Two in one here, as you’ll probably need both – unless you want to have just one enormous hand on your character rather than two. These original come from Hulk but you could easily repurpose them for other figures too. LEGO version of Popeye, anyone?
Mini Suitcase
Part number: 6451017 Design number: 4449 Price: £0.20
Minifigures need to travel too, so best to invest in this mini suitcase for them. Now available in metallic silver, there’s just enough room to slot something small inside if you wanted to, but it works best as a minifigure accessory in itself, easily fitting into their hands.
Hourglass
Part number: 6503205 Design number: 23945 Price: £0.61
Thanks to LEGO DREAMZzz, we’ve had various hourglass iconography but the hourglass element itself is versatile enough to be arranged anyway. The old-fashioned time-keeping tool can elevate a shelf, be of use in a kitchen, or take a leaf out of LEGO DREAMZzz’s books and have a more fantastical purpose.
Sword
Part number: 6448752 Design number: 19858 Price: £0.66
The vibrancy of this sword means it can easily work as a weapon, but also as a natural tool to depict leaves or even animal parts, as in 21342 The Insect Collection. It’s a neat, versatile element that’s well worth a second look.
Bars for Windowframe
Part number: 6477142 Design number: 3273 Price: £0.10
Jazz up your brick-built buildings with golden bars for the window, perfect for a palace – or a very high-end prison. For just 10p, you can take away enough of them to kit out a multi-storey home.
Minifigure Torso No. 6824
Part number: 6460919 Design number: 76382 Price: £1.25
With minifigure torsos recently increasing in price, this is one that’s just recently become available and is well worth the cost. With some intricate printing, it would work well for any medieval sets or custom builds you might be working on.
Wooden Door
Part number: 6458987 Design number: 64390 Price: £0.78
Returning to your buildings, add some colour to the facade with a bright purple door for just 78p. It’s large enough to work with minifigures and even has enough detail to include a keyhole.
Staircase, Left
Part number: 6458979 Design number: 28466 Price: £1.19
Once you’re through the door, enjoy more flexibility on the interior with a new direction for this open staircase. Winding towers, sweeping halls, and whatever else you can imagine are now possible.
Mini Head
Part number: 6446937 Design number: 104509 Price: £0.23
Pairing perfectly with the aforementioned torso, we particularly like the facepaint. Intended for LEGO Vikings, you could also use the element for a rugby player, sportsman, or a range of other colourful characters.
