WATCH: LEGO Dungeons & Dragons rolls for initiative

It’s time to roll for initiative, as a party of LEGO Dungeons & Dragons designs are fighting to become an official LEGO set in the very near future.

The latest LEGO Ideas contest – or challenge, as they’re now known – will see one entry (from a total 621) end up on LEGO Store shelves as an official product, capitalising on a licence the LEGO Group has never previously linked up with. The review board has whittled down the full list of submissions to just five, which are now part of a public vote.

Our latest LEGO video runs down all five of the finalists still in the running, and you can check them all out by hitting play below (or heading over to our YouTube channel). Don’t forget to subscribe for more daily videos on all things LEGO.

The fan vote to find the first LEGO Dungeons & Dragons set will close on December 12, but it’s worth noting that many fans aren’t happy with the review board’s selections for the final five.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
