Five LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi Diorama details to look out for

Two new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi Dioramas have been revealed today, both of which feature plenty of fun details to be found.

In addition to today’s announcement of 75355 X-wing Starfighter, the curtain was also pulled back on two LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi Dioramas arriving on May 1. The LEGO Newsroom published the reveal of both sets, which feature iconic scenes from Episode VI (celebrating the film’s 40th anniversary this year) and can be pre-ordered from April 7.

Now that the two new LEGO Star Wars sets have been officially revealed, here are five things we’ve already spotted in the upcoming dioramas.

5 – Luke’s new hair piece

75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama features a new minifigure of Luke Skywalker in his iconic Jedi outfit, complete with black gloved hand. We’ve seen numerous iterations of this minifigure before, but this time the character receives a perfect Mark Hamill-style hair piece.

4 – Accurate Speeder Bikes

75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama is a call back to 1999’s 7128 Speeder Bikes. This time around the vehicles are much more accurate to their onscreen counterparts, boasting a dark tan colour scheme and brand-new minifigures of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia in forest fatigues.

3 – Hidden Sith lightning bolts

Although not visible in any of the images released so far, the official press release for 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama does note that the Sith Lord’s lightning bolt accessories are hidden away on the underside of the model.

2 – Printed quotes

As with previous LEGO Star Wars Diorama sets, the two new models both feature quotes on the front of the builds, although now they’re printed pieces and not stickers. 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama receives the classic line, “I am a Jedi. Like my father before me,” while 75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama gets the slightly less-memorable, “Quick! Jam their comlinks. Center switch!”

1 – 40th anniversary blocks

Rounding out both builds is a unique Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary block, featuring the official logo marking the event. It’s a little tricky to tell if the piece is printed or uses a sticker to achieve that look, but it certainly gives the sets an appropriate finishing touch.
