Behind the scenes of LEGO Hidden Side 70425 Newbury Haunted High School

The development of LEGO Hidden Side 70425 Newbury Haunted High School is revealed in a behind-the-scenes video.

A new video from the LEGO Group sees two designers explain what went into 70425 Newbury Haunted High School, a new set from the Hidden Side theme. “LEGO Hidden Side is a theme LEGO developed from zero to final so we spent much more time than usual to create the whole story,” says LEGO Senior Model Yi-Chien Cheng as he shares some of the 10 plus sketch models he built for the school.

“Usually the products reach the element designer and we work together to realise what elements we need for that and if we have new characters what’s cool we make about these new characters,” explains LEGO Element Designer Felipe Telles, using Jack as an example. “To start with an element I usually start with a sketch and then I hand-sculpt something, just to be sure that that’s what I want to follow up. I usually start with a hand sculpture in clay, just to have this idea of volume and clay I want to achieve.”
