Taking a closer look at the exclusive LEGO 10306 Atari 2600 minifigure

LEGO ICONS 10306 Atari 2600 is the second brick-built console, but it’s the first to include an exclusive Atari minifigure, with a unique torso.

The first LEGO Atari model includes the main console, three cartridges and a holder, a joystick and a trio of dioramas based on classic games. Most of that is likely familiar to those who own 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System but there’s one key difference between it and 10306 Atari 2600.

Thanks to the design of LEGO minifigures, this Atari shirt element is compatible with any minifigure, even those that are older than this young player.

Anyone with a custom minifigure in mind can soon equip a short on their creation to display their love of Atari to the rest of their collection, you might even want to replace the minifigure in 10306 Atari 2600 with your own.

LEGO minifigures explicitly based on a game or video game company aren’t too common, so the inclusion of one in 10306 Atari 2600 is likely to be appreciated and adds to the value as well. Designs in the upcoming set include another LEGO Atari minifigure, though unless we get an Adventure or Centipede-specific model we might not see it physically.

You can collect this exclusive LEGO Atari minifigure in 10306 Atari 2600 when the set launches on August 1, 2022, for £209.99 / $239.99 / €239.99.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
