Every new LEGO set available from September 1, 2022

From a brand new batch of Collectible Minifigures to another towering LEGO lighthouse, there are plenty of new sets to sink your teeth into from today.

September is a comparatively minor release window in the wider LEGO calendar – at least next to months like January, June and August – but that doesn’t mean your wallet is safe. Vying for a slice of your LEGO budget from today are five new advent calendars, a new series of Collectible Minifigures, a trio of action figures and one of the most expensive LEGO Ideas sets yet.

LEGO CITY

One of five new advent calendars available from today, this year’s seasonal LEGO CITY set keeps things classic with a Santa Claus minifigure, sleigh and tree – along with a mix of LEGO CITY Adventures characters and LEGO animals.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures

The latest series of Collectible Minifigures arrives to celebrate the LEGO Group’s 90th anniversary, albeit in a rather roundabout way. Instead of a collection of classic characters reimagined for the 21st century, it’s an eclectic mix of costumed minifigures and holiday favourites. There’s also a six-pack if you want to grab multiples in one go – no guarantees, but buying two of those could get you a full set. (Theoretically.)

LEGO Friends

Friends’ newest Xmas set brings us our first-ever Santa Claus mini-doll, so Mrs. Claus finally has a companion. You’ll also find festive mini builds like a tree and snowball turret in the box, along with a camera, microphone and speakers, for when the Christmas party inevitably turns into karaoke.

LEGO Harry Potter

This year’s LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar joins 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition in taking us through a journey of the entire Wizarding World saga, from the Philosopher’s Stone to the Deathly Hallows. There are three doors per movie, and a board game to play out with them come Xmas Day.

LEGO Ideas

The LEGO Group loves a lighthouse, so Sandro Quattrini’s motorised version always felt like a shoe-in for an Ideas set. The final model is a thing of beauty, reimagining the original microscale concept in minifigure scale, and it’s available right now. No Robert Pattinson or Willem Dafoe minifigures, though.
