First review of LEGO 71038 Disney 100 Collectible Minifigures reveals the fine details

The first review of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 series has arrived, showcasing the details of the 18 included characters.

From Baymax to Tiana, there are plenty of new and familiar faces in the third Disney Collectible Minifigures series. With the range due to launch on May 1, priced at £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99 per blind bag, at least one retailer already has their hands on the collection.

JB Spielwaren has taken to YouTube to showcase the upcoming LEGO Collectible Minifigures series and offer a better idea of what to expect from all 18 characters.

Most of their details have been showcased aptly in official images, though the review provides a good look at the alternate face prints for a few of the minifigures including Aurora, Pocahontas and Cruella de Vil. We can also see that there is an alternate face print for the Queen of Hearts, but it’s not fully visible in the review.

Whether there are more alternate expressions in the series has yet to be confirmed, though Tiana at least has enough room for one with her hair piece.

The review also demonstrates just how far Pinocchio’s nose sticks out from what is otherwise a standard minifigure head. Despite the larger arms, Baymax’s limbs have a full range of movement like that of an ordinary minifigure, complete with printing on the side

There’s not much longer to wait until you can start collecting the 18 new minifigures as 71038 Disney 100 launches on May 1.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
