Florida will be first LEGOLAND to get The LEGO Movie World

The first theme park to add The LEGO Movie World will be the LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

First reported here at Brick Fanatics, The LEGO Movie World will be a new addition to LEGOLAND theme parks around the world. It has now been announced that the new zone will be arriving at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort right after the release of The LEGO Movie Sequel in Spring 2019.

This new section of the LEGOLAND Florida Resort will recreate Emmet’s hometown of Bricksburg, feature two new rides and the opportunity to meet characters from the films. The existing Legends of Chima ride, The Quest for Chi, will be rethemed to fit in with the new world. On May 29, the existing ride will close – although the announcement implies that when it re-opens, guests will still be able to get uncomfortably wet from head to toe.

The addition of THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD represents our continuing commitment to providing state-of-the-art experiences specifically designed to create awesome memories for kids ages 2-12. The sights and sounds will be fully immersive bringing THE LEGO MOVIE franchise to life in a way that only a LEGOLAND Park could. We know kids come from all over the world to meet the stars of THE LEGO MOVIE and we can’t wait to see their faces light up as they interact within the imaginative world of Bricksburg.

The LEGO Movie Sequel will be released on February 8, 2019.
