ECTO-1 debuted in the original Ghostbusters movie back in 1984, and serves as the primary mode of transportation for the Ghostbusters themselves. The vehicle in the first two movies is a Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura ambulance, albeit one with a new paint job and an array of ghostbusting equipment. By the time of Ghostbusters: Afterlife the vehicle has got a few new tricks up its sleeve, which are recreated in this large-scale LEGO model.

Measuring 47cm long and 16.5cm wide, this model is a splendid display piece for any Ghostbusters fan. It replicates many of the car’s distinctive features including its white bodywork, red fins, array of headlights and silver grille. It also includes the tangle of hardware on its roof, and external stickers which allow you to simulate rust on the car’s exterior.

The inside of the car includes an intricate engine (complete with Cadillac branding) an extendable gunner seat – which pops out of ECTO-1 itself – and a detailed driver’s compartment. The rear of ECTO-1 contains some internal technical equipment, a loose bag of Stay-Puft marshmallows, and an RC ghost trap deployment feature. Pulling on the fuel cap allows the wheeled trap to roll out from under the car, and opening the back door allows you to reinsert it for later use.
