Kevin Hall graduates from the LEGO Certified Professional Entry Program

Kevin Hall has graduated to the full LEGO Certified Professional Program, claiming a job title that will make the rest of us green with envy.

Getting paid to build LEGO is basically everyone’s dream job – no, don’t lie, we know it’s yours too – and Hall now holds that honour, having graduated from the LEGO Certified Professional Entry Program into the full LCP Program.

LEGO Certified Professionals (LCPs) are a small group of professional brick builders, licensed by the LEGO Group to take on projects under the brand name. The previous UK LCP, Duncan Titmarsh, stepped down in October 2018, following his company Bright Bricks’ acquisition by Live Company Group, the event organisers behind BRICKLIVE.

Hall then joined the LCP Entry Program in April 2019, and has since worked closely with the LEGO Group to take on big build projects, events and commissioned work, all supported by the LEGO branding. His company Brick Galleria has built models for clients including LEGOLAND, Disney, English Heritage and London’s Natural History Museum.

There are currently 21 LEGO Certified Professionals around the world, two of whom are in the Entry Program.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
