Last day to order from LEGO.com in time for Christmas

If you’ve left your Christmas shopping to the last minute, the LEGO Group has your back – until 1pm today, anyway.

That’s the cut-off time to get your sets before Christmas Day. You’ll need to pony up for the more expensive express delivery option, but if you’re in a pinch – say, if your Christmas plans have just changed at the very last second – you may be able to swallow the cost.

Thankfully, the LEGO Group’s inventory has improved massively since the start of the month, with plenty more sets back in stock. That includes the likes of 76139 1989 Batmobile, 21324 123 Sesame Street and 71044 Disney Train and Station.

What’s more, a purchase of £150 will bag you 40416 Ice Skating Rink, while 5006482 Holiday Gift Set 2020 is now being added to every order, regardless of value. (It previously required a £40 purchase.) Those gifts stack, so spending £150 will net you both freebies.

That might help to make the flat fee of £21 for express delivery a little easier to stomach. But if your plans to drop off presents have just been scuppered by the introduction of tier 4, we understand you also may not have a choice. Hopefully your bank account will too.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
