LEGO 10302 Optimus Prime listed at retailer

An online retailer may have confirmed that the first LEGO Transformers set is on the way with a listing for 10302 Optimus Prime.

Wagner’s, a german retailer who previously confirmed 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck before it was officially revealed, has now listed the rumoured 10302 Optimus Prime – potentially the first LEGO Transformers set.

Though it has to be officially confirmed by the LEGO Group, the online store has listed 10302 Optimus Prime with a price of €169.99 and a piece count of 1,508. It also states that it is an 18+ set, all aligning with previous reports for the model.

Provided the rumoured information is accurate, which it may be judging by the information on the retailer, 10302 Optimus Prime might release in June, though the source did note that the upcoming Transformers film has been delayed to 2023, so it could be that it will receive a launch later this year instead

The report also mentioned 10302 Optimus Prime as including an informative UCS plaque, a jetpack, a weapon and the Autobot leader himself with the ability to transform without needing to be rebuilt.

It may still be best to take this information with a pinch of salt until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group, though this listing does suggest that the first LEGO Transformers set is on the way.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
