LEGO 10303 Loop Coaster enjoys a festive twist

The latest addition to the LEGO Group’s Fairground Collection – 10303 Loop Coaster – can be spruced up with a set from the LEGO Seasonal range.

The LEGO Group has released a number of fairground rides over the years, although – with the exception of 10235 Winter Village Market – they don’t tend to have much of a Christmas flavour. 10303 Loop Coaster is certainly evidence of that idea, although it seems that can be easily remedied.

Reddit user BigRabbit4050 has shown how 40426 Festive Wreath 2-in-1 can be attached to the first loop of the rollercoaster. While this loop isn’t a perfect circle, the wreath (which is closer to that idea) maps onto it rather effectively.

There are some questions about exactly how the wreath is attached to the loop coaster, but it appears the included candle builds have been repurposed to support it. Crucially, it appears the set isn’t fouling the track – meaning you can operate the rollercoaster as usual.

2022 has proven a surprisingly lucrative year for unorthodox LEGO set combinations. We’ve seen Bowser playing video games, Optimus Prime playing piano, and Groot riding a Vespa – with a few other combinations from enterprising LEGO fans. As the year draws to a close, a set combination with a festive twist is a fitting finale; hopefully, 2023 will bring even more unusual set combinations for us to enjoy.

If you’re curious about trying this combination yourself, both 10303 Loop Coaster and 40426 Festive Wreath 2-in-1 can be purchased now at LEGO.com. The cost of buying both sets will be rather high, regardless of where you get them – but it should add up to a very merry Christmas for the lucky recipient.
