LEGO City 2020 sets revealed in official images
The first wave of new LEGO City sets 2020 have been revealed.
Online retailer Meinspielzeug has published images of eight new LEGO City sets that will arrive in January 2020. With a focus on Police and Fire, the sets feature special play-orientated elements, including a pair of new rip-chord helicopter moulded pieces that will allow children to send the vehicle flying. New magnet pieces are included in some of the sets too, which will simulate the criminals stealing and the police force recovering valuable items.
Images have also turned up showing new sets in the Friends and Technic themes.
Here are the eight LEGO City sets that have been revealed:
60241 Police Dog Unit, 67 pieces, €9.99
60242 Police Highway Arrest, 185 pieces, €19.99
60243 Police Helicopter Chase, 212 pieces, €29.99
60244 Police Helicopter Transporter, 317 pieces, €44.99
60245 Police Monster Truck Heist, 362 pieces, €49.99
60246 Police Station, 743 pieces, €99.99
60247 Forest Fire, 84 pices, €9.99
60248 Fire Response Helicopter, 93 pices, €24.99
The boxes also reveal that sets will contain named characters, with many of the minifigures given pun-based monikers. These may tie into characters who will appear in LEGO City Adventures.
LEGO City 60203 Ski Resort was released recently, taking the urban dwellers to a snowy holiday destination.

What a disappointment these Lego City 2020 sets are. They are all unrealistic and of little value to the serious collector or builder. They look like they were designed by a 13 year old. Come on LEGO, you can do better than this. I will not be buying any of these sets.
