LEGO Creator Expert 10260 Downtown Diner is back in stock

LEGO Creator Expert 10260 Downtown Diner is back in stock at LEGO.com, after previously being ‘Sold Out’.

The ’50s-style modular building is rumoured to retire at the end of this year, so when its status switched to ‘Sold Out’, many fans – including us – assumed the worst. After all, when a product sells out at LEGO.com towards the end of its shelf life, it’s usually safe to presume it won’t come back.

10260 Downtown Diner has now bucked that trend, however, because it’s currently on backorder, and will ship on November 12. This may well be your very last chance to grab it before it retires. And given how other modular buildings have appreciated in value – particularly when they retire after just a couple of years – it could be worth ordering one as an investment, too.

In the US, the set is marked as “temporarily out of stock”. That usually indicates it will eventually come back, even if you can’t order it right now. But where 10260 Downtown Diner is concerned, it seems like nothing is certain at the moment. Fortunately, we can help you keep track of the modular building’s status with our handy stock alerts.

If you’re not familiar with the 2,480-piece model, it’s an awesome entry point to the series, incorporating a 1950s-style diner, gym and recording studio.

You can order it from LEGO.com right now, and support Brick Fanatics while doing so by using our affiliate links.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
