WATCH: Several LEGO Harry Potter sets are retiring in 2022
As the year draws to a close, a number of LEGO sets are leaving shelves for good – with many LEGO Harry Potter sets amongst them.
Retiring sets are a reality for every LEGO theme, and the LEGO Harry Potter theme is no exception. A variety of new sets has been released in the theme over the last few years (and several more seem likely to arrive in 2023) so some must be discontinued to make way for them.
You can find a complete list of retiring LEGO Harry Potter sets in our YouTube and TikTok videos, with a mix of older sets and more recent releases being taken out of circulation. The retirement of sets like 75955 Hogwarts Express is perhaps to be expected, given its four years on shelves – and the arrival of sets like 76405 Hogwarts Express – Collectors’ Edition to supplant it, even if it serves a rather different purpose in practice.
