Every confirmed and rumoured LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure – April 2024

The first images of another new LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure have just popped up online, so here’s a reminder of every confirmed and rumour character so far.

The LEGO Star Wars team is rolling out an entire series of obscure, long-requested and/or fan-favourite minifigures to celebrate the theme’s 25th anniversary, two of which are already on shelves and another of which is now confirmed to be heading our way on May 1. Three more are said to follow later in the year, along with a bonus character included in the new and updated LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary.

Here’s a complete rundown of all seven confirmed and rumoured LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures, including everything we know so far about the sets in which they’re arriving on shelves, derived from sources including maxbautde and Clay_Bricks.

Darth Malak

This Old Republic-era Sith Lord – who first appeared in the Knights of the Old Republic video games – is included with 75379 R2-D2, which launched March 1, and is the perfect counterpart to Darth Revan… if you can find him. Darth Malak’s master was released in a polybag as a May the 4th promo in 2014, and now commands a hefty price on the aftermarket. Malak is much more accessible by comparison, and comes complete with a red lightsaber and unique neck piece.

ARC Trooper Fives

The second LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure to arrive on shelves in 2024, ARC Trooper Fives can be found in 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV alongside six other minifigures. He comes with a fabric pauldron, brick-built backpack, printed arms and legs and unique helmet and face printing, all of which adds up to a pretty impressive LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper.

Saw Gerrera

As revealed today, the first-ever Saw Gerrera minifigure will be included in May’s 75383 Sith Infiltrator. Decked out in dark green with a newly-printed armour piece, printed cape and staff, Saw is a character long overdue in the LEGO Star Wars line-up, having appeared across movies, TV shows, video games, comics and more. 75383 Sith Infiltrator will retail for €69.99 in Europe and hit shelves on May 1.

Cal Kestis

A modern Star Wars video game legend, Cal Kestis is the protagonist of Respawn’s Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor titles. That series has received just the one LEGO set so far in 75335 BD-1, and in lieu of any others, Cal Kestis will apparently arrive as a 25th-anniversary LEGO Star Wars minifigure in a Death Star playset in August. Very little is known about 75394 at this point, but the safe money is on something similar to 75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base in approach, given it’s expected to include 1,555 pieces.

Princess Leia

The only one of the six new LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary characters we’ve seen in one form or another before, Princess Leia is believed to be coming in 75392 – another set we know very little about, beyond that it may be some kind of creature build, is said to include 1,186 pieces and is due to retail for $99.99 in August. This won’t be like any Leia we’ve had before, though: the latest rumours suggest that she’ll be based on her younger appearance in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series.

R2-KT

The final LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure to debut in a set with a printed plate is now rumoured to be R2-KT. The pink-tinted astromech droid was designed by the R2-D2 Builders Club in 2005 to honour seven-year-old Katie Johnson, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2004. It’s a sweet tribute to real-world Star Wars history, and is believed to be on the way in 40755 [Star Wars 25th Celebration].

That 383-piece set is supposedly coming in October, and is also thought to include at least three Rebel Troopers and three Stormtroopers. Something akin to last year’s 40658 Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama seems likely, but further details are few and far between at this stage.

Darth Maul

Where the other six LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures each deliver a brand new character, the 2024 edition of the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary instead includes a classic Darth Maul minifigure, complete with unique back printing. This minifigure essentially follows the same approach as the LEGO Star Wars 20th anniversary minifigures from 2019, and in that respect sits outside of the rest of the collection.

The LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary Updated Edition launches April 4, 2024, and is available to pre-order at Amazon now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
