LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga social media highlights Jawa combat

A brief new video on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga social media accounts shows that even Jawas can be tough to beat.

With just one month to go until LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrives, social media marketing for the forthcoming TT Games title continues to ramp up. A regular series of images and short video footage have been posted recently, with each tiny nugget giving fans more details on the upcoming game.

Today LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga social media accounts released a brief post with footage that showcases how even the smallest of characters in the game can be tough to beat. The video features a Jawa attempting to escape from Sandtroopers in a docking bay on Tatooine. After avoiding what appear to be targeting lasers and a few blaster bolts, the diminutive scavenger backflips onto a Sandtrooper’s head to take him out.

The post refers to this trouncing as a ‘counter maneuver’, a unique move that each character has. This feature is part of the game’s new combat system, which allows players to attack, block, counter and string combo chains together. The updated system should give LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga battles much more depth than in previous TT Games titles and should also hopefully encourage fans to try out each character’s signature moves.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to launch on April 5 and can be pre-ordered now, in both physical and digital Standard and Deluxe Editions.
